I am a product designer based out of Los Angeles, California. My life’s journey has not always been straight-forward, but the path that I have taken has made me the curious and creative person I am today. This journey of self-discovery has taught me to embrace the process and to never stop fighting for what I am passionate about.
In college, I explored various interests and career paths. I began with electrical engineering but later switched to music education to pursue my true passion in life. I would perform with various ensembles across the country for audiences of thousands of people. At this time, I would began instructing and designing for similar musical and performing ensembles across Southern California. This would involve teaching music to young performers, but also involve visual design and choreography. Here is where I would begin my journey of life long learning in the world of visual design and the design process. I would take the occasional design fundamentals and art class, trying to absorb as much information as possible. Eventually, I completely switched my major to graphic design. While exploring career paths, I discovered the world of UX design and immediately knew this is where I could excel and bring all of my experience and eagerness to learn to this creative field.
My experience designing for various performance ensembles led me to understand and fall in love with the design process. I would work together with the performers and staff members to create a thoughtful and engaging production with the audience always at the center of the process. From ideation and exploration to execution and reflection, the design process of this stage-craft parallels very closely to digital product design.
My drive to continuously learn, guided me toward UX design and continues to push me to grow as a designer and as a person. I am always looking to new ways to improve my process and create engaging products.
When I’m not in front of my computer designing or playing video games, you can catch me camping or walking my dog Scarlett.
